Ann Danielson Jewelry Artist
My passion for the Fiber Arts was initally fueled when I was a youngster by my mother's knitting, quilting, and rug braiding, while my engagement in the creative process was inspired approximately a decade ago by Julia Cameron's book, The Artist's Way. Several years ago, as my husband's 60th Birthday was approaching, I felt a strong desire to design/create a necklace for myself in honor of that auspicious occasion. I did so, and much to my delight, have not stopped since!
I grew up in West Boylston and Worcester, graduated from UMass/Amherst (BS in Child Development) and Assumption College (MA in Special Education), and have been employed for many years as a Preschool Teacher with the Natick Public Schools. Lexington has been my home since 1979. Spending time along the Coast of Maine has always been an important part of my life, as has been the Armenian Apostolic Church.
I derive a great deal of satisfaction from discovering the perfect combination of metallic yarn/thread, bead, and stitch. Often, the end result is even better that what I originally had in mind! Currently, most of my necklaces are of the crocheted variety. Who knows where they go from here!
